Add a bit of Sparkle/Anything Goes

Hi folks, I'm here with a project for the Artistic Inspirations Challenge Blog and the theme this week is Add a Bit of Sparkle/ Anything Goes. I have used an image from QKR called 'Girlfriends' which I have cut out using a wonky square Nestability shape. I then coloured the image with Polychromos pencils.

I have made an easel card, and used Crafty Individuals backing paper in soft pastel shades for the background. I used the paper as my inspiration when colouring the image. There are so many colours in the paper, I couldn't go wrong! The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque.

I added some glittery ribbon and some flat-backed gems for a bit of sparkle to finish.

I don't normally do cute cards, but this will make a great storecupboard card for when I need a card in a hurry. I think the image would put a smile on anyone's face.

This week there are some great prizes over at the challenge blog:

QKR are offering 5 digis of the winner's choice

Sassy is offering 4 digis of the winner's choice

You can make a card, a tag, an altered box, a mixed media piece, whatever you like. So why not have a go, and join in the challenge? Please pop over and see what my Team mates have been up to.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Glitter and Sparkle Anything Goes

Robyn's Fetish Anything Goes

2 Sisters Anything Goes

Crafty Mess Show some Sparkle and Bling

Thanks for stopping by xx

  6. the way you picked out the checked patterning on the quilt with the Harlequin patterned background paper & then tied it all together with your pencil colouring is very effective.
