Hi Folks, I thought that I would share another Design Team card that I made recently with you, using the lovely new designs from Chocolate Baroque. Glenda has a giveaway going on at the moment, all of the details are in my previous post. If you comment on any of my posts, the posts made by the other Design Team members on their blogs, or on the Design Team Blog itself, you stand a chance of winning one of three fabulous stamp sets.
The card that I am showing you today, uses backing paper from the Echoes of Italy backing paper set, onto which I have stamped a long border, from the Doodle Butterfly stamp plate stamp, four times. I took nine pieces of one inch Stampbord, and taped them together with masking tape on the back, then coloured them with a mixture of Distress Inks and Memento Inks. I then stamped the Doodle Flower Design, from the Doodle Bird stamp plate on the top. I seperated the pieces, and matted them onto black card, before placing them onto the backing paper, which was also matted onto black card.
I wanted this to look like a piece of Italian wall art, and really enjoyed working within my favourite colour group.
Don't forget to see what the other Design Team members have been up to this week, the more you comment, the more chances, you'll have to win those lovely stamps! Judith xx

Judith...wanted to visit and thank you for your comment! It is always good to hear from you! I have been so neglectful in my visiting...life just keeps speeding along. But I sure don't want people to think I don't appreciate their feedback and inspiration!! This piece does look like artwork!! So smooth and lovely! The stamps are all really lovely too!! Hope you are having a good April!! ;)
Hi Judith. That's one of my favourite colour combinations too. I love the effect you have achieved. I have done something similar with card inchies, but not with stampboard. I will certainly give it a go. Thanks for more inspiration. Kate x
The more I see of these the more versatile they are - I love your idea of the Italian wall & you certainly succeeded in your aim. Love these colours too.

Judith you're making my mouth water with these lovely cards. Strangely I nearly tripped over a bag of stampbord pieces yesterday - it must be a sign!!! lol
Love the colours and I think you've achieved your aim - it looks like a tiled picture.

Lovely card, this tiled effect has turned out very pretty with the stamped frame too.
