I embossed some sticky backed aluminium tape, and aged it by adding some black paint to it, then rubbed away the excess. I stuck the tags together using the aluminium tape. Here is the luminary once it is folded flat. The piece of card is placed in the bottom for stability once it is assembled:
I stamped the Reindeer Landscape image onto vellum four times using white embossing powder, and coloured it on the reverse using Splash Inks. I wanted a very pale vintage feel to my luminary.
I was very excited when I found that the white embossing worked just as well as black when it was lit.
I hope that this has given you some inspiration for this lovely stamp set. Keep checking the Design Team Blog for lots more ideas from my Team mates. Thanks for stopping by, xx

This is a completely gorgeous project Judith. The white embossing really comes alive when lit from inside and the delicate inking adds interest for when it is not lit up. An inspired and beautiful project. Christmas will be with us before we know it. Elaine xxx
Your luminary is lovely and it looks so effective with the light behind it

Wow Judith that is fabulous and the white embossing really shines out when lit up and the lovely subtle colouring what a great project.

I can see why you were so excited about the outcome of this for the soft colouring of the image glows beautifully when lit & there is something inherently classy about the use of white with browns, silvers & blacks. The ribbon finishes it beautifully.

Beautiful project. Can I be nosy and ask what die you cut out your aperture with - is it Nesties Label 4. There are just so many on the market but I do like that one! A different Elaine xx
Oh this is just beautiful Judith and what a fabulous idea for a Christmas decoration. I promised myself I didn't need any more Christmas stamps but you are sorely tempting me, lol!
