The challenge over at Bah Humbug this week is to make a card or something incorporating 'Doilies'. I chose to use this lovely angel stamp'Guardian of Hearth and Home' by Carmen Medlin for SCACD which I bought from Quixotic Paperie recently. I used a backing paper called'Twinkle' from Basic Grey, and coloured my image in pale blues to match.
Although I have some actual paper doilies, I chose to use my Martha Stewart doily punch, to create a frill around my image, an idea I saw on this blog and then added a border with the same punch on the base of my card too. I also used a pretty acetate doily on the base of the card, underneath the sentiment, which came from Lili of the Valley.
I'm looking forward to seeing what this week's challenge is now, although I have several craft commitments to get done and dusted first! Thanks for stopping by today, Judith xx

Oh Judith ... what a beautifully elegant card. The backing paper is gorgeous and looks wonderful with the image. I really like the ruffled lace effect doily and strip you have created with the punch. A feautiful card to be proud of. Thank you for sharing with us at Bah! Humbug!

Stunning card Judith, I love the backing paper and your doily. What a good idea, it works lovely with the image. Hugs x ChrisB
Great card Judith, clever use of that punch for the edging, lovely backing paper and that acetate doily works really well too. Just lovely. Elaine x
A lovely card and quite fiddly I would imagine using the doily lace punch and getting it to lie around the oval - well done.
Hi Judith - what a gorgeous card - and thanks for your comment on my blog - you were right - once I got over my guilt and tore the first page out of the book I felt relieved and invigorated! lol! There's no stopping me now!
What a beautiful card Judith. Everything matches perfectly! Your frilled 'doily' matches the bottom of the angel's dress and the BG paper is so pretty. I love the acetate doily. How clever of you to find that.
Hugs
