Hi Folks, well slightly later than planned, I am posting my project for the
Artistic Inspirations challenge this week. I've not been well, having struggled with a bad migraine and then some sort of sickness bug that my OH kindly gave me after a trip away. There are better presents that he could have brought back, lol!
Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better now, so onto this week's project. I've made a double Z fold card, basing my template on an idea from the Splitcoast Stampers resource website. I often look on there for card ideas if I want something different. First of all, I prepared a piece of watercolour card, by colouring it with Distress stains, using the wrinkle free method, and then once it was completely dry, I ironed it flat, and ran it through my printer to get both of the images from Eureka stamps onto the paper. I cut them out with rectangular shapes, and roughed up the edges with a distressing tool. I inked the edges with Distress ink. I coloured the butterfly and flower image with pencils.
I rummaged through my paper stash, and used some papers from Prima, and My Mind's Eye to complete the card, colouring all of the edges with Distress ink.
We have some great sponsors this week on the blog:
Eureka are offering five digis of the Winner's choice
Susan is offering five digis of the Winner's choice
So why not join in the challenge? The theme is more than one fold/Anything goes, so there is so much scope. You can make whatever you like, a card, tag, altered box, mixed media piece, and you do not have to use a digital image, stamping, embossing, any medium is welcomed.
I am going to enter my card into the following challenges:
Crafty Bloggers Network Flowers

Eureka Stamps Anything Goes
Hope you are all keeping warm in this snowy weather, thanks for stopping by, xx
