Hi all, we're still wandering through our Spooky September Blog Hop week, have you found the Blog Candy yet? Have you visited all of the Design Team members Blogs? Who do you think may hold that elusive prize?
Tomorrow you will find out, as that is when we will draw a winner for two sets of blog candy from among the Design Team members Blogs, and who knows, there may be goodies as well over at the Elusive Images Blog too.
Don't forget to look at the fabulous offer over at Elusive Images on the Halloween stamp sheets, you'll get a really great inspiration leaflet free if you buy more than one set of stamps. It's packed full of ideas and instructions for loads of Halloween goodies to make.
I have another card to show you today, One made with the large image from the Halloween Candle stamp plate. I stamped this image onto watercolour paper first, then masked the image. I coloured the paper with Mustard Seed, Weathered Wood and Dusty Concord Distress Inks, and then spritzed the paper with water to get a blotchy effect.
I then peeled the mask away, and coloured my image with Inktense pencils, and used a waterbrush to blend the colours. I went over the image again with the pencils to add some shading and depth.
On my black card mount, I pricked some holes, and after I had stuck my picture down, I sewed my sparkly cord through the holes to create a spider's web in the bottom left corner. (A bit like those old nail and cord pictures in the seventies!) You sew in your top hole at the side, and left hole at the bottom, then your second top hole at the side, and second most left hole at the bottom, and so on, until you have created the curve effect, it's a trick of the eye.
I used some paper from the Simple Elegance paper pack as a backing paper, mounted onto black card again, and a sentiment taken from the Witching Time stamp plate completes the card.
I'll be back later with some more spooky creations, so don't forget to come and see me, thanks for looking, Judith xx
